There is lots of ways of catching CARP, use a #1 or 1/0 hook either no sinker or a small split shot about 1ft from hook bait up with a Corn Kernel or Hot Chip or you can make some Dough as we did for Mullet when we were kids, throw it out in the water and hang on for the fun.

PS trouble with hot chips is you tend to eat all the bait. -------------------- I WANNA GO: FISHIN WITH SUMO.

NO Smelly you've got that one wrong, it goes like this: You get a larger type tin the commercial type Beetroot or Pinapple Juice tin, put a wire handle on it to hang from tree over river, punch about ten holes in the botton from the inside so that the sharp bits point down, half fill with prawn heads, and the next day the carp will be hanging around under it catching the live bait as it falls, If you want to stay and fish take the aeroguard and peg, or in your case Smelly take your Gas Mask.
