Can sum bloody telly me how to cat a carp ???
I saw some @ Centeniel Park the other day but the bastard rangers said I wasn't allowed to shoot them So any advice would greatly be appreciated Rum reckons I should ask googlefush cause he's closely related to the carp wot you guys think ??? --------------------  Save The Fish, Eat a Pussy |

There is lots of ways of catching CARP, use a #1 or 1/0 hook either no sinker or a small split shot about 1ft from hook bait up with a Corn Kernel or Hot Chip or you can make some Dough as we did for Mullet when we were kids, throw it out in the water and hang on for the fun.
PS trouble with hot chips is you tend to eat all the bait. -------------------- I WANNA GO: FISHIN WITH SUMO.

I have heard that if you leave a can of corn , with a hole punched in the can dangling from a tree that the carp will be there the next day .

NO Smelly you've got that one wrong, it goes like this: You get a larger type tin the commercial type Beetroot or Pinapple Juice tin, put a wire handle on it to hang from tree over river,punch about ten holes in the botton from the inside so that the sharp bits point down, half fill with prawn heads, and the next day the carp will be hanging around under it catching the live bait as it falls, If you want to stay and fish take the aeroguard and peg, or in your case Smelly take your Gas Mask.

When I go which is quite a lkot we just use take a loaf of bread 1/0 hooks and no weight or small splitshot...crusts or rolled up bread is a winner corn is also great but for that i use size 12 hooks works every time...

Yeah you can eat them and many Europeans still do ,,if prepared properly there not bad at all...My Grandmother is from Novisad near former yugoslavia and they knew how to prepare them properly...
