Did ewe overdose on GOOSE PILLS this morning Dave ????????????????

The whole purpose of the bloody trip was to go catch a bloody big snappa it's all we've been hearing about since jesus christ was a boy.

Maybe you haven't been able to read about this cause you've been to busy crying knowing that I've been releasing fish instead of filling up the bloody freezer ??

Reckon you would've been crying like a big sooky wooky yesterday if you'd been there to see me release this one

As for ewe SUMO dont sit there every day waiting in hope that a blind snapper is doing to take your bait.
I already told ewe on many occasions go do a day or 2 on a charter boat to learn how to catch the bloody things

Well guys Didn't I pick the wrong time to come to SA we've been here a fortnight TODAY and the boat has been in the water four times, Its been blowing a gale since we arrived and the fishing is miserable, they also tell us the Snapper run is LATE.

I have written another small story, Hope it keeps you all satisfied (except Jumpus)

Fishin with Sumo

It’s been a few days of blowing winds and choppy seas, It’s 7am and the weather seems fine, so we’re off to launch the boat, we’re heading for the Whiting grounds as we know there’s fish about at present.

It’s not far only about 5klms around to the fishing spot, we pulled up at the approximate location and dropped the anchor, there’s not much happening here, suddenly I remembered that I had marked the location on the GPS last trip, I switched on the GPS and hit the Go To location, we need to go North East 800mtrs so we pulled anchor and fired up the motor , we steadied over the mark and dropped the anchor, out went the lines and in came the fish , this is a great spot, and we found it by accident last trip.

We landed 19 nice King George Whiting, 3 Leather Jackets each over a foot long and threw back about 20 undersize fish, I also thought I had a big something coming up until I landed a Port Jackson Shark, things went quiet and we needed to cross the Spit before the tide got any lower so we headed off, we crossed the spit in 700mm of water, lucky we didn’t stay longer.

After crossing the Spit it seemed too early to return, so we headed for another spot we had been told about, we found a mark showing rough bottom on the Sounder, this should do there’s fish on the screen and I just had a good feeling about this spot, down went the anchor, and again the fish were undersize we had a ball throwing fish back on opposite sides of the boat, at one stage I believed I kept catching the same fish, then a change! the fish were fighting harder and hitting the bait hard, a school of Salmon Trout had come by, we landed ten before they vanished as quick as they had turned up, we had a good catch and it was time to return so we pulled anchor and contemplated our next trip.

Again we’ll fish, The SUMO

You dont want to listen do you ??

The whole of that area is made up of artificial reefs dumped cars tyres or whatever they thought they could dump to make up the reefs & thats where the snappa are supposed to hang out.

Go do a bloody charter & stop being such a tight arse if you're fair dinkum about catching some reds if you're not interested in catching any then keep doing what you are doing & fish for Wi Ting

Tell ewe what I'm bloody glad I didn't come down tjhe Jumpus feeling told me not to

Sumo remind me to show you how to make your pictures smaller, your original one was 900KBs and this one is only 26KBs, the larger physical size can still be retained if you like.

Hey Fed, all this SA stuff was done on blinky's laptop, I put it on my memory stik and can't retrieve it on my PC. I have just taken the memory card out of my Camera and found a few more pics, when I get hold of blinky's pics I will post them too.
