there is a slimline one there.. You might be better getting a square one and mounting it to the V in the drawbar though.. Then its protected.

Jason this mob has plenty and not too expensive, the toughest ones are the marine tanks 55ltr for $100
I recently bought one they have a big warehouse in Ingleburn and a shop at Kogarah. http://www.camec.com.au/ This post has been edited by SUMOFISHIN: Feb 16 2008, 02:02 PM -------------------- I WANNA GO: FISHIN WITH SUMO.

they look good mate thanx ,,but im just a bit worried being plastic being under my trailer as it gets used for other stuff as well as camping ,maybe i should steer towards alloy or stainless ,but the later would be as deer as poison

yeah mate sounds the way to go poly ,as long as the bastards dont leak ,hahaahha A cheap alternative is 4 or 6" pvc/stormwater pipe. Block off both ends put a filler cap on top of one end and a drain tap on the other. You can have one either side of the trailer for balance. Hold a lot more water then you would imagine and less then 1/2 the cost of a bought tank. You can mount them just about anywhere, across bull bars, ets etc etc. I have even made water and oil tanks from side steps. Frank -------------------- Frank

If you do buy "FOOD GRADE" Pvc, the general PVC has contaminates in the manufature that when water is stored in it can be leeched out and contaminate your drinking water.. Also I beleive the glues used should be differant... Any plumbers out there that can confirm? |

Jason, generally when fuel or water tanks are underslung they put ply or sheet metal under and in front of them to protect them from stone damage.

yea, Id look at mounting a slimlin one. You may even be able to lay it inside on the floor.
Will only take up 100mm i thik they were and then can mount it straight over your wheels for weight balance. |

wheres jumpy hell now Mate thought the site was down again & only just got on 1st time since flyday & only because kk rang & said the site was up & going, ended up swapping over to another pc & here I am. Jason all depends if you want the water for drinking purposes ??????????????? If so then stainless is the only way to go. I have a couple of s/s fuel tanks which I didn't re-use after re-fitting my big boat but think they're way to big & hold around 120 litres. Having said that & reading a few of the replys I like frank's idea & had something similar on my previous jeep cherokee what I did was use 100 mm dia round s/s tube as the bull bar filler on top & tap on the bottom it doubled up as a water tank. Took up SFA room & something like that would be ideal under the trailer. I'm gonna have to format the other pc but need to backup the files 1st I do have a pic & will post it tommoro. -------------------- Save The Fish, Eat a Pussy |

poly your allways thinkin about beer lolololol,i think jerry cans will be the way to go as they will be easy to fill rather then haveto drag the trailer everywhere just to put water in it ,,,
