THe samurao's are better blank than the fenwick's poly I've got a couple of fenwick's & prefer the samurai's
Fenwick's are alot thicker @ the base & if you're looking to use the rod to say cast SP's with then the samurai are the way to go not to mention they're a great little snappa/bream stock

Yeah I have a samurai, 2-4kg use it for spinning up salmon and tailor along with the odd baiting for brim, ting, flatones ect... I run 10lb braid on it.

The salmon pic (first one of the trip) from my Hacking report was caught on that samurai, but I landed a bigger one on my 6lb line/1-3kg rod brim gear! After seeing how much more fun salmon were on 6lb than 10lb, I used my 6lb outfit for the rest of the trip. B) rolleyes.gif

Either way the samurai's are a great rod, and since I picked it up for $70 it was definately worth the $$$.

Jumpy Possums rod is as light ass anything I have had in my paw. It is a very fast tapered blank and the weight is virtually nothing. It would rate at an honest 3kg and is lighter than my 001 it really surprised me and I would not hesitate to make one up if they were still available. I would describe it as Unique

poly I have a couple of graphite fenwicks nice rods very similar to the samarai's which I prefered but now I've gone to a new favoured blank love the action on them originally scored one off Arnie then I went out & bought a few more which I built up.
