Fishing oz style _ Have your say _ Nothing Happening

Posted by: SUMOFISHIN May 13 2022, 01:50 PM

Hi Fellas I am Still in the Habit of Checking in Every Morning, to see if anything has changed But Alas Nothing seems to be Happening, It would be Great just to have a chat
and find out what other members are up to, I have been doing Nothing as I have waited for the Covid Pandemic to Subside,
My Motorhome is ready to Go But I now have My Vintage Machinery Show coming up on the June Long weekend and cant go anywhere until after the show,
Just some food for thought If anyone would like a few days away! My door is Open and I have a room available all set up for Visitors. So Don't Hessitate to let me Know if you would
like to make the Trip to the Country with Free Accommodation. Cheers All.

Me too Sumo, but sadly, no-one else apart from Frank and George, do. We just got back from 7 weeks exploring the three peninsulars of S.A. and then NE back up through Broken Hill, Tibooburra, White Cliffs etc. Fuel was a big expense and will be in the future, I guess. Couldn't believe the thousands of feral goats I saw and that was just from the car. They will continue to create a dust bowl out west unless there is a massive cull or trapping program carried out.

Posted by: SUMOFISHIN May 17 2022, 02:02 PM

Glad you had a Good trip Klaus, fuel is Becoming a Problem with the Prices, But we have to live with it, The Ferel Goats are so Abundant out between Cobar and Wilcania, and they come in so many colours Too,
Most of them you see are alongside the roads where the green pick is the best but they are intellegent enough to keep off the Roads ,you dont see many dead ones, Having a Motorhome Makes the travelling
more adventurous and the fuel cost is overcome by the fact that you dont have much in the way of Accommodation expenses when freecamping, I don't get away as much as I would like to, it's not that great Travelling Alone
as I have mentioned If you want a weekend or so away My door is always Open

Posted by: SUMOFISHIN May 29 2022, 02:21 PM

Good to hear from you George It would be Great to get in touch with a few other Members and let them know that we are still active

Posted by: oz man Jun 2 2022, 05:34 PM

Yes it would be great but most are now turning to Facebook and things like that, which has really stuffed up the forums and how they use to be the meeting and great mate ship.

I'm Still Checking in Every morning Just in case Someone is calling out for a Chat

Posted by: oz man Aug 28 2022, 06:07 PM

Yep it seems the forums are a thing of the past , which I feel is wrong.
They still make forum software but it seems you have to have a top product that people want to talk about.

Posted by: SUMOFISHIN Aug 29 2022, 02:53 PM

So sad to hear that things are going Backwards! it seems the whole world is doing that at present

wow been locked out of my own forum for the last week or so all because my NVE hard drive lost everything, in relation to site and password etc, just got it up and running, now the hard job beings remembering sites and etc.
It looks like I will be doing a lot of sql surfing on my servers.

Something Happened I went to Copeton Dam for the Weekend Weather was Fine until Sunday Morning when it blew a Gale, I only Caught 2 Large Catfish and about 100 Bobby Cod (Spangled Perch) should have stayed as it started Raining as soon as we got home Sunday at about Midday and never stopped until yesterday Afternoon, well it was great to get away but the rain brought with it my Arthritis which has me in a bit of Pain .

Hi Ben and a Merry Christmas to All

Posted by: oz man Dec 28 2022, 08:56 PM

Not good the arthritis I use turmeric and fish oil and it great .Takes about 3 weeks to kick in as I have it in my knees and since I've been using these and the pain is just about gone and the knees are great and a lot cheaper than knee surgery.

Posted by: SUMOFISHIN Dec 29 2022, 12:32 PM

Not good George , I get it Bad in my Left Knee But when it's dry weather it's not so bad, The worst time is a couple of days before it Rains and for about a week After.

Posted by: oz man Jan 1 2023, 02:48 PM

yes but try Collagen Turmeric with milk to wash the twi tablets down and you will notice a difference.

Posted by: oz man Apr 18 2023, 01:58 PM

fishing is always a relaxation even when you don't catch a thing.

Posted by: SUMOFISHIN Apr 18 2023, 02:12 PM

George It looks like You and I are the Only ones that Post Lately, and you are Right Fishing is relaxing, I even Find it relaxing to just Drive out to Split Rock Dam which is only a 15klm drive Just to see what other people have been catching and striking up a conversation with them

Posted by: oz man May 11 2023, 01:51 PM

I did much the same when I lived up at Woy Woy on the waterfront. It has a 100ft reserve out the front and loved just walk it and talking to people.
The best thing I loved was fishing out front for Blackfish and mum coming and getting them and cooking up for breakfast.
You cannot get much fresher than that or getting in my dinghy and going over to pelican island and pumping nipper.

Posted by: SUMOFISHIN May 11 2023, 02:35 PM
