Well I was going to give it a BIG miss for a while last 3 trips out saw crappy cold water around the 17 degree mark all we hooking in those trips was the Taulking Tootharus.

Was going to wait for some water water to come through B4 heading out again just had a look @ the ocean Temps & it's come out of no where the other day when I looked it was still around the 17 deg mark looks like a warmer current has pushed down Sth from the Nth & a good guess is the current out there is running hard not the case the other week there was was very little if any.

I took a snap shot of the chart this ones sundays prediction & not looking bad @ all should find 19 deg water if not warmer & another good guess is there'll be some bue'r water out there as well unlike the greeny stuff last trip

Those further Sth than Sydney will probally do pretty good as for me think I'll go wet a line @ Yellow Stone National Pk reckon the YFT will be there stealing picnic baskets laugh.gif

JUst had a ph call off a mate Jimbooki

He went out last Wednesday day B4 yesterday went out after lunch landed 3 yellowfin off Browns.

!st took a lure then they cubed for 2 more around the 20 kg mark & lost another apparantly a much bigger fish which had tangle the 2 mainenes they were fishing with a 24 kg & a 37 kg outfit the one fish screamed line off both reels @ the same time for about 3 minutes & the 2 guys had no idea they were on the same fish till the fish poped them & they wound in the tangled line.

Jumpus ain't bad said water may be around the 19 deg mark & it was mind you those swirls of warm water were not on the charts last Wednesday when I looked either.

So I think I'll make a ph call to Sushimi Ocky Muru & order my fush for tommorow may even put the 6 kg outfit out for a bit of fun if we having small fish schooling behind the Goat Zzzzzztttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt

gees whats the score now? YFT 4 ... JG 0? Maybe play some Simple Minds, and sing to the tuna; "dooon't you....forget about me!". The tuna will then go suicidal on you coz of the scottish musik and start jumpusing on the hook saying they're not going to forget about you!

Yep 4 - Zip

Think the Googlefush Ferret caught them all laugh.gif laugh.gif

There was a couple of boats on Browns fishing the bottom & a few scattered around the place cubing didn't see any rods bent over but one of the bottom bouncing goats was cleaning fish whilst on the drift.

Looked like Gemfish to me definately not Blue Eye

I've never been deep sea fishing, but it seems like 9 out of 10 times fishers come back with hardly any activity...

Seems to me there is more activity in the bays and less hassle.....

Shoulda been out yesterday. Heard the fish were going nuts on the 18th. I know that the charter guys on Broadbill and Billfisher got into them along with some rec anglers. One guy managed 20kg and 35kg models. BananaCrazy.gif

Keep trying JG.

Googlefish we were out yesterday

And it's just the way it goes out there

There's alot of water & if you're not where the fish are then you'll miss out like we did.

Majed you fish when the fish are there & I dont fish out wide anything like I used to do once upon a time I could smell where the fish were laugh.gif laugh.gif

Times have changed schools aren't in numbers they used to be & I've been going out every 2 weeks thats not good enough if you want to catch fish consistantly.

Having said that think all it will take is the 1st fish & it becomes easier after that

Just check'n out the pics and it reminded me of something.

A few years ago a bloke i knew bought a 24ft'r,anyway one day when i was over there he mentioned he found a massive hole in Botany Bay.

Let me just set the scene, this dude used to have a story for everything, and i mean EVERY-THING,he's even told a couple of my story's back to me laugh.gif ,another of his mates used to call him John Booka.....Booka meaning book-a-knowledge.

Anyway back to the hole,he was realy excited explaining that this hole once over the middle of it went to a depth of ,wait for it...............

725 mts laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

I did'nt bother argueing after i told him his sounder was wrong twice,so just let him tell everyone.

It's modern technology poly

Back inthe old days we used our noses to find the fish these days GPS's take us straight past the fish

See if youcan work out what I meant by that remark

at a place called Reindens reef 2nortical miles off Wardell on the north coast of n s w with the weather tide and water temp just right the spotted mackerel would show up in the autumn a G P S is quite capable of directing us there but can not tell if the fish have arived.
on the run down to the reef we pass schools of bait braking the surface and this is were u should be using your nose to work out what is going on as there are many pelagic types of fish in the vicinity at this time of year
now to try and work out what u meant by that remark, to me it means only a dope would rely on technology to find his fish ;) ;) ;)
