How many of ewes get this type of service ???????

Mentioned it around xmas time that my new Black Anchor which is bigger than Bees wittle wun gave me sum grief

Not having te tools required I said the alternator had shat itself, well I wasn't that wrong wot had happened was the 100 amp fuse wire coming from the alternator shat itself thus making the alternator useless by not charging the bateries so I was sorta correct.

Anyways being xmas knew there was a fat chance of getting it fix till the 18th of this month cause the place I purchased motor from was shut till then.
Allthough I'm mates with chris from Sea Sea Marine& have his mobile no I didn't ling ling him cause I respect his privacy & new he was spending time with hs kids.

Luck saw him ling ling me early last week to say hurro & I menioned wot had happened to the Black Anchor

I was tlold he'd meet me @ the shop & to bring the goat over dropped it off last wednesday then I took off up to Pt Stephens after that to annoy Bees Knees hysterical.gif

Got a call on thursday again from chris to let me know wot was wrong with the black anchor prob was Mercury had no replacement stock of the fuse wire untill the 19t of this month so Chris went to he trouble of adapting a makeshift fuse wire taken from another motor so as I could use the boat.

I got back from Pt Stephens late yesterday arvo & rang Chris's dad who lives local to the shop & he was kind enough to go open up the shop for me so as I could pick up the goat this arvo.

Now that's wot I call service

I dont usually give things like this a plug but thought this was worthy of wun & there's a couple on this site who'll vouch for the type of service I ge from Sea Sea.

Admitingly I've purchased quite a few outboards from Chris over the years & he may not allways be the cheapest mainly because he wont put a brand name on his doors & get dictated to by the various outboard Co's.

But he makes all that up if I want something done right away

sorry jumpus, when asking about noise it is at W.O.T. were they seem to be at there worst and as for fuel you may be best putting 40 or 50 hours on it to loosen it up a bit and get a good average for a days fishing.

yep when i retire Fed, a 5.3 cc with either a 100 or 115hp 4stroke, if I can afford it that is.

http://www.polycraft.com.au/530_centre_console.php

the other chose would be a 4.8 cc with an 80 or 75hp only time will tell

that's easy mate to much money sitting on the lawn going no were and not getting used enough.

if I am luck i may get the boat down the coast once every 3 months, so I content myself fishing the lake here. the buggers wont let me use the yammy so its all done with the lecky, and a 5.3 would be to big to fish here in Canberra

Yep white hide's a lot, but its not much fun, I like the yellow its very easy to look after if i do scratch it up, all I need do is get the heat gun out and worm up the damaged part of the hull give it a quick rub and its as good as new, and as for looking like plastic who cares it is plastic.

I was out @ a mates workshop 2day using the press

When I got back I discovered I had 4 Shinny Heads, 3 more than Fed hysterical.gif

My Yamms were stripped & all was GooDarus but like I said better to have a looky.

There's sacrificial anodes inside the Yam heads & nothing was left of them or velly little so guess it was a wise move to rip them off.

My blocks are still clean as & was told the model B4 my Yams had a bit of a corrosion issue cause the annodes used in previous models wasn't doing their job & instead of the anodes sacrificing themselves twas the block that started corroding.

Still going to send the injectors out etc etc so prob next week B4 goat is back on the water

Yep Yep ewe'll have them & cause is the later model motor ewe'll have the decent anodes if I remember the camera 2morro I''l take a pic of them

Happy that all's well in the donks now just have to nut out why I'm losing revs up top, have a funny feeling the fuel canister in motor that's playing up has got contamination in it.

Open them up 2morro & have a looky
