I see your mistake hustler you put boat at the end laugh.gif

I am blessed with a good wife she doesn't mind me going fishing a lot , as this makes me happy.
and in turn I try to make her happy . all these things we have , house boat cars are no good if your not happy.
you have to take time out from this rat race to enjoy life.

this is doctor steve , I also read palms laugh.gif

We each have our own ways and things that we love doing.

I love going to work as this is where I have fun. Fishing, also another place to have fun. Doing something for someone, another way of having fun.

Where am I going with this. For me the simple things are the things that allows me to have fun and be happy. Others prefer to have someone wait on them.

It does come down to your own self, to be a peace with your self.

for me it is not the big things like money and things for me it is the small things a walk on the beach, a coffee with friends, a quite day fishing, a good book, to relax on a worm day with the family that is what makes me happy

Just having a re-read of Huster's question to give him a serious answer to this.
The one single standout thing in my life which made me happy was having no debt, it's a real good feeling.

that is a strange thing to say J G it is obvious that u have never been in a state of marital bliss with out that very special lady happyness would be much harder for me to achive.
it is the very small thing i remember the birth of a son and our daughter these are not great achievments in there own right as many people do it day in and day out.i can still remember the day my daughter caught her first fish and the excitement she displayed.my sons first sailing experience was spmething that i will never forget at aged 5 trying to get me to make the boat go faster as my age advances these are the things that bring me happiness along with many memories to many to mention,i will recount one of a warm summer evening and a walk on the beach with my beloved possum.it was 9 months later that my son was born.

i have been giving this hoppiness thing some though an have come up with a few things that make us men happy

Your last name stays put.
The garage is all yours.
Wedding plans take care of themselves.
Chocolate is just another snack.
You can never be pregnant.
You can wear a white T-shirt to a water park.
You can wear NO shirt to a water park.
Car mechanics tell you the truth.
The world is your urinal.
You never to drive to another gas station restroom because this one is just too icky.
You don't have to stop and think of which way to turn a nut on a bolt.
Wrinkles add character.
Wedding dress $5000. Tux rental-$100.
People never stare at your chest when you're talking to them.
The occasional well-rendered belch is practically expected.
New shoes don't cut, blister, or mangle your feet.
One mood all the time.
Phone conversations are over in 30 seconds flat.
You know stuff about tanks.
A five-day vacation requires only one suitcase.
You can open all your own jars.
You get extra credit for the slightest act of thoughtfulness.
If someone forgets to invite you, he or she can still be your friend.
Your underwear is $8.95 for a three-pack.
Three pairs of shoes are more than enough.
You almost never have strap problems in public.
You are unable to see wrinkles in your clothes.
Everything on your face stays its original color.
The same hairstyle lasts for years, maybe decades.
You only have to shave your face and neck.
You can play with toys all your life.
Your belly usually hides your big hips.
One wallet and one pair of shoes one color for all seasons.
You can wear shorts no matter how your legs look.
You can "do" your nails with a pocket knife.
You have freedom of choice concerning growing a moustache.
You can do Christmas shopping for 25 relatives on December 24 in 25 minutes.
