There's a bunch of us Sydney Anglers having a get together at the Commersial Hotel ( beer garden ) Parramatta this coming Friday 1st Nov 2013 from 5pm till whenever.
Very close to Parramatta station so leave the car at home and take a train, that way you could have a beer or 3 without the worry of the drive home. Sounds good having a BBQ at Feds, just name the day. Also I would like to have a get together more often, say once every 2 months or so, and we could take it in turns to have it at our place. Fed's 1st for the Xmas get together, then say my joint for Australia day OR something and take it in turns so we all have a go at being the host. BYO would be best.
I have been spending the past 2 weeks tidying up my back yard a bit with a lick of paint here and there, so it's almost decent enough to have a goup get together. been waiting on a mate to come and give me a hand to move a extremely heavy steel cabinet from one place to another ,but as always when you need a hand with something mates are hard to find. -------------------- Frank

BTW to sum up what happened to the meeting this thread was started for. 13 of us met at commesial Hotel in Parramatta, was a good evening and nice to meet new folk that have fishing as a hobby/pass time, things were going just great then a guartar playing entertainer drowed any conversation completely out, talk about load, we had to scream at each other to get anything said, in the end a lot was lost of many conversations as we just could not be heard over the extremely load amplified music. One good point was the guy was a great singer and his choice of music suited me, so mostly I enjoyed the evening.

Sorry but I won't be able as the grand daughters asshole dad has pulled a shifty and access is today not yesterday.
I just wish this one would piss off. He hasn't seen her for 3 plus years and all of a sudden he takes the daughter back to family counseling so he can have access every fortnight, and he does nothing with her and his rights are that he can see her for 3 hours either the Saturday or Sunday ever two weeks as long as he ring the daughter the day before.Usually it has been Saturdays and this week the bugger rang last night asking for a 12 to 3 access . -------------------- |

I didn't really take any pics. I will have a look on my phone. Thanks for hosting the arvo, SF and Fed. Were Frank and JG talking about fishing? I had cotton wool stuck in my ears, but they were still bleeding a bit even with the protection.
Just got back from the rocks. Big swells made fishing a bit 'interesting'. I landed 10 nice, big, healthy blackfish. |

Sorry I missed it but duty calls for a dad , the little p didn't turn up till 1pm and left by 2.20pm,
