ok the site birthday is on the 17th and i am hoping that every one will log on and get a never ending story going should be fun

Poly. For this to work properly we need to set a time that everyone should be online.
Say 7 pm on 17th April.
A thread should be started at 7 pm on a set scene, say Gilligans island and everyone joins in.
There should be someone keeping records of the event, such as Most members logged in, how many posts made in first hour etc etc etc.
maybe a small prize of something for the 100 poster on the night, things like that to make it a bit more fun.

I hope every member will join in and log on and have a good time.

Poly. I would also like to suggest we keep quotes to a minimum. And also the smileys to a minimum.
As we approach the magic 100 post mark NO bumping or one word posts, just to have a chance to be the 100th poster.

Mind you I am only saying 100 cause this is a very small site. On my other site the last one of these that I organised we managed to reach the 10 000 th post in just over 3 hours. We nearly melted the site.

There was arguements as to who the 10 000 th poster was with 3 or 4 guys claiming the prize.
We are lucky here cause we have a automatic post count for all to see.

And please every ( I'm sure you all will ) but please keep well within the site rules and edicate, so jumpy don't start pulling what's left of his hair out.
Poly may I also suggest that YOU start the thread rolling at 7 pm with a post in Gilligans island.
As you say when it ends is when everyone has had enough.
I did do my last one for 4 hours, went from 7 pm till 11 pm.
Someone on here may have been part of that night.

My apologies for my miss represented post count in my last post.

Here was my introduction to the record attempt.

A post about nothing in particular, an attempt to set a record
for the most views and replys within a 4 hour period.
Although there have been many posts that have had thousands
of views and replys, these have been over a long period of time.
Within this attempt it will also be possible to set a record for most
replys in 1 hour.
Please keep your reply brief, but with meaning.
Please no pictures and if possible remove the photo from your signature during this
4 hours. This will make it easier for those on dial up, a small consideration
on your part will benifit many in this regard.
Any post that contains more smileys then words will not be included in the count.
Please keep smileys (and grumpies) to a minimum.
Please keep QUOTES to a minimum wherever possible, if you wish to reply to a certain persons comment you could try using their name to draw their attention to your post.(quotes fill pages very quickly) and once again consider those on dial up.
We don't want the MODS involved in little bit of fun, so please be considerate toward your fellow member and stay calm, please don't use swear words even if disguised with #%&^#$ .
Anyone who is against this attempt has had ample time to protest, so if you don't want to contribute in a positive way, then please stay out of it altogether.

Here are the stats. there were 22585 views. with 1134 post replies. And 114 pages in 4 hours.
The most members we had posting at one time within the 4 hours was only 107 members.

It would be interesting if such stats are in the guinness book of records.
Wonder what the most posts in a forum is over a set period ?.
Anyone got the book ?.

Would've been back in around 1980 I think club was Pagewood Botany & I was one of the best supporters there

Bloody irriots thought they could get me to play well chooks to that I was conducting my own marathon back then it was called nightclubbing & I'd come by every few hrs or so to say hurro to my old team mates & make fun of them.

Have to tell you guys about Dave's long & distinguised soccer carreer think it lasted one game

He rocks wearing a pair of those desert type football boots that ride up past your ankles

Gets onto the feild cause we were short a few players

Opposing player has got the ball & Daves chashing him down the field of play coach is yelling out Tackle Him Dave !

And what a Rip Snorta of a tackle Dave pulled off !

Right around the ankles

Prob was we were on a soccer field & not a Rugby field & when the Ref sent Dave off He wanted to deck the ref
