Fishing oz style _ Lure chat _ Spinnerbaits

just wondering guys ,in freshwater fishin spinnerbaits are used extensively now,does anyone use them in saltwater ,,,jas

But then again fresh water fisho's are a different breed from salts

i though they might have been used in salt by now for flatties ,bream etc,,,jas

Jason. I have successfully used spinner baits for Flathead along sand bars and flats etc, down Bermi just as you start going up the river there is a spot in particuler where I have caught several large Flathead using spinnerbaits, you have to retrieve quicker then you would if using floating hard bodies as it is shallows, but allow the spinner to bounce along the bottom of the sand and this attracts the big preditor, when they hit they hit hard so hang on.
My favorite colours are purple and green, but that's probable just because this is the first spinnerbait that I tie on and use more then others.
I also replace the hook/s with 3xxx strong as I think the standard hooks are too thin for large Flathead.
I see no reason why they wouldn't work in deeper water, If fish are hungry they will attack a piece of torn rag waved in front of them, something I have proved to non believers time and time again.
