Fishing oz style _ Outings _ On The Harbour On New Years Eve

Posted by: hustler57 Jan 1 2008, 03:57 PM

hey fellow fishos,

i spent new years eve on the harbour with friends and family,

we pu the boat in a kissing point boat ramp at putney,

we cruised out to cockatoo island and anchored up at about 8.30pm,

the fireworks where great as usual but i gotta say i think they where down a bit on last years 1s,

after the fireworks we went for a cruise out to manly and nack, play cat and mouse with a few rather large cruise boats which at 1 point i had 3 large party boats heading str8 for me and had no where to run,

on the way back to the ramp i was cruiseing at about 6 knoys and i had a boat in front of me , 1 to the left and 1 to the right, i looked over my shoulder to see a large cruiser going over my wake and sitting no joke about a metre from the back of my boat and about to run into the back of my boat, luckly my sister saw it as well and screamed out to me , so i gunned it full power which sent everything flying around the boat to get outa of there, if i could reach into his boat, that drunk skipper would be very sore by now,
got back to the ramp at about 2.30am,

spent about an hour at the ramp watching the comedy show while waiting for my turn,

it was a great night , and my sister who was on the boat was on air on 2day fm,

happy new year to all fellow fishing oz ztyle members and guests

hustler why put on the angry smiley faces ???????

I've posted alot of topics where nobody showed any interest & didn't reply
In fact I only got back from a hunting trip spent 1/2 hr putting up a thread & only got 1 reply

Here's a tip for you & it's fair dinkum as well if you want people to reply to any thread then you need to post pictures irrellevant what that thread is about.

i will have to disagree with that statement as i believe it is the subject matter that brings the responser's and not photos, how ever they are impotent in a fishing report smile.gif smile.gif smile.gif

Sorry hustler57 the thread seems to be more of a closed topic. I was one of the 19 that read your topic.

I would think your experience would be sort of normal for the new years eve night on the harbour.

I also post but do not expect replies just people reading the information and maybe someone not familiar with fishing will understand a little bit about fishing, go fishing and feel the urge to sign up and post a new thread.
