Fishing oz style _ Game Fishing _ Wun, Tu, Tree

Well had ConTheFruiterer nagging me yesterday to go for a fush & I wozza not in the mood so went out 2day.

Time of year Blues should be around so skirted up a few new lures last night & ran 3 of them today did stop off in the bay to get some livies just in case.

That's when I got a Shock Horror Shock Shock was convinced I'd seen our very own FrankTheStreakerNimrod on the beach spying on me, so I pulled the camera out the wun with the Big TellyPooPoo lens & took a shot or 2 to prove it.

Alas I was mistaken only realised when I could not see wrinkles & a flock of seagulls chasing him laugh.gif laugh.gif

But Be warned peeps there's a CopyKat FrankTheStreakerNimrod lurking the shores of Botany Bay here's a pic of him disappearing into his cave laugh.gif

Bait gotten off we went on our merry way, opted to fush sth canyons via fad off pt hacking, nutting around the fad so out we went on our merry way wunce again.

90 fathoms had a free jumper jumpus out in front of the boat twice, worked the area for a while but couldn't raise it, radio chat had a 35kg yft caught a few stickheads bird activity & baitfish up nth but it seemed like we were in a desert so opted to track nth hoping to stumble accross some Goodurus signs.

We didn't see a nutter thing all arvo except for sum pilot whales & a hunk of 4" x 4" timber which should've had a vacant sign on it.

Was getting a bit bored just after 2ish & we were well nth opted to track sth again came in to the 90 fathom depth wunce again knew there were fish traps there found them but raised nutting.

Decided to head to the 12 mile sound for girly fush put Scotty2Hotty's down if we found the girls 1 1/2 miles east of 12 mile ConTheFruiterer started making funny noises which sounded like Malin was even pointing @ the thingy with his 5 daughters Coola, Toola, Voola Soola & a Guppy.

Tickle me fanny I turned my head & sure enough A bloody marlins was closing fast on Big Woofi [skirted it last night] Transom Starboard was wayting wayting wayting & more waytings then marlins ETT's Big Woofie rod buckles ratchet screams time to clear the wet dick then rubber band breaks on port rigger Evil [skirted it last night as well].

I got a 22.gif we were on a double hookup but didn't last long both fish spat the hooks bloody wittle stripes mad.gif

Reset all the lures just finished doing so went back to the steering wheel didn't even have time to scratch my Baboonia's when Starboard rigger goes off really thought we were hooked in GooDarus this time line was disappearing fast, just finished clearing the wet dick wunce again & didn't like wot I wasn't hearing.

Fish was JumPus'n but I didn't see it ConTheFruiterer said it was a much better fish than the 1st 2 up around 120 kg
Worked the area for a nutter hr or so but couldn't find them again called it a day

4 wot exactly ??

When ewe set out to troll for the day to target marlins that's all you do can get monotonous & boring esp like yesterday when you dont really see anything all day.

But all it takes is that wun fish & it's 22.gif time, sum times you get lucky & find the good patch of water right away

Gezz i dont know maybe try ang catch a fish.
Isnt that why you trawl so you can locate them and the cubes are ment to keep them there

Do that when I'm targeting YFT not when fushing for marlins

But even when trolling around & getting YFT why fix sum ting that's not broken ??

Keep going with the lures

Got a couple of ling lings 2day, seems JB went off on the weekend a mate of a mate fushing solo dropped 4 stickheads wun afta the udder on lures briddled a stripey & landed a stripe of around 120 kg

Got sum interesting news today

Apparrantly I must've been asleep last sunday cause we caught a broadbill swordfish, tiger shark & a cobia on browns

That cobia must've taken a popper whist we were high speed tolling on the jig laugh.gif laugh.gif

Took a mate fishing once during a comp, turns out we tagged 8 kingies,, strange seems as how I have never had or never will have a tag pole in my boat.
Guy hasn't been in my boat since.

Sum good porky tella's going around

Recall many moons ago back in my LBG days

Had a guy on the rocks a couple of weeks after I landed my 1st marlin off the stones, telling me how he'd gaffed it even told me the weight & how it'd gone nation record etc etc.

Best part was when he started telling me how the angler [me] laugh.gif didn't know what he was doing & that he had to talk me through the fight.

Was the 1st & last time I ever saw this guy

Wonder if it had anything to do with me finally mentioning that I was the angler he'd gaffed the fish for hysterical.gif hysterical.gif

Not a fishy tale, but I pulled over a guy at Cronulla one time for a traffic offence and he immediately started asking me to give him a break as he was the best friend of kkw. My offsider asked him if he knew the guy he was talking to!! Red face for him. Name dropping or big noting doesn't always work. hysterical.gif. On another note, anyone coming for a fish off the rocks?

Going fishing Sunday, hawkesbury, vines, wrong moon phase but if I fish the last bit of run in and first of run out I might get lucky. The guy I'm taking don't get out much, so want to put him in the best possible chance to catch a feed. Might even soak a bait.
