George. I am building a small beach cart from an old electric golf buggie.
I have the motor 12 volt and a variable speed controller a 3 way on off switch forward reverse neutral
I have been told I need a 12volt DPDT relay which I have ordered, also ordered a 12v deep cycle wheelchair battery.
My question seems as it seems nobody in Sydney appears like they want to help me out is,
When I get all components together I can take detailed photos of all the items, could you, once you see items, draw me a
diagram of how to wire up the buggie.
I will buy new 25amp wire to do the job, I have plenty of solder and connections, but haven't a clue which wire goes where.
Here's wun sumo designed himself
Frank First check that the Motor is 12Volt and not 24Volt as most are, If you get the correct controller and relay system it should all plug together,
I am Going away tomorrow and won't be back until the end of October,
but if you have any problems ring me on my mobile and if we cant sort it out,
I will give you the number of my mate at Nambucca who rebuilds Gophers.
OK George, bad timing on my part. motor is 12 volt as is speed controller, jaycar had 24 v relays but no 12 v that would do the job.
I have ordered suitable 12 v relay from ebay .
I will just have to try and find something on the net that might guide me.
Have a great time doing whatever you are going to be doing, and I will let you know how I get on.
Frank ewe ninkompoopy

Should be straight forward Frank, I will get POLY to put up a post when I get to Paradise Beach where he is now Hiding.

I'll give you a ring when I leave My Daughter's at Tathra Beach
