Fishing oz style _ Boating Talk _ Few Photos

Posted by: nimrod Nov 16 2017, 04:44 PM

Just a bit of a update to let you know how I'm going with the project. ordered a couple of cheap seats, got rego number stickers
and starting to add a few toys.
I will try and fit motor and controls during the week end and then start thinking about a trailer.

Photos not the best as it is under cover and sky's are getting dark, just phone shots, got no batteries for the good camera.

Hey Frank, when I click on the photos, my computer freezes. I notice that the size is almost 1.4mb. I normally resize photos to 960px wide, where yours are 2550px. Not sure if anyone else is having an issue, but I can't look at the pics at all.

Tried to fix it but just making a mess of the whole thing.
I can view them no problem and even make them larger once I click on them.
I am running NBN.

George the Bunnings stuff looks very similar but is only water resistant where this stuff is made for outdoor use and is virtually water proof.
The Bunnings stuff should be OK for the bus but is hopeless in a open boat, one shower of rain or a big greenie over the bow and
it starts to rot.

No worries Frank, I didn't think that you would use bathroom carpet in the boat, It was great for the bus, easy to cut and lay, with it's rubber back,
and glue's down easy with Contact cement.

Oh my god now you can see some of the junk in the background, there's another boat back there somewhere.
It does brighten it up a bit, when I get the seats in and a bit more done I will see if I can get it out into the
sunlight and take some more snaps.

A couple more. Made up a little dolly system to move the boat around easily on the concrete, works good but won't work over grass.
I added a step so it's a bit easier to get in the boat from the rear. some rod holders ( will paint when time ) .
Do you think people will get upset if I mount my Cod head on the bow with spotlight shining out of it's mouth ?.

Looking Good Frank But I don't think the Cod Head suites it
